Post September 11th, 2001 article, written after an almost evenly split Berkeley City Council passed NOT an "anti-war resolution" as some reported, but rather a watered-down "hope-the-war-ends-quickly" resolution since they didn't have the votes to oppose the bombing of Afghanistan. The bizarre, contradictory foriegn policy declaration resulted in a national backlash and an economic boycott.
